MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – Belarusian tennis player Mikalai Haliak is through to the last eight of the $30,000 M25 Qian Daohu 2025 Tennis Tournament in China, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian needed just one hour to see off China’s Fanming Meng 6-3, 6-0 in the second round. This follows his confident straight-sets win (6-4, 6-0) over Japan’s Tomohiro Masabayashi in the previous round. A place in the semifinals will be on the line tomorrow, on 31 October, when he takes on Australia’s Akira Santillan. In the doubles event, Mikalai Haliak and Grigoriy Lomakin of Kazakhstan suffered a defeat in the first round.
