MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (World No. 92) lost to Swiss Viktorija Golubic (84) 1-6, 0-6 in the quarterfinal of the L'Open 35 de Saint-Malo, France, BelTA has learned.
Viktorija Golubic will face either Spain's Aliona Bolsova (105) or French Harmony Tan (157).
On the way to the quarters Aliaksandra Sasnovich beat France's Tessah Andrianjafitrimo (257) 7-5, 0-6, 7-5 in the opener and then defeated Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (80) 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 in the round of 16.
In the doubles, Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Denmark's Clara Tauson beat Chinese-Dutch team Xiyu Wang/Arantxa Rus 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals where they will take on the U.S. tandem Kaitlyn Christian/Sabrina Santamaria.
