
MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes have concluded their performances in the shooting tournament at the 3rd CIS Games currently underway in Azerbaijan, BelTA has learned.
On the third and final day of the competition at the shooting range, Belarusian marksmen won two bronze medals in the “solo” discipline. In the bronze medal match of Men 10m Air Rifle Solo Evgenii Potapov was more accurate than Javohir Sokhibov from Uzbekistan (15:13), and in the Men 10m Air Pistol Solo, Uladzislau Dzemesh defeated Russian Yevgeny Perevozchikov. The day before, Uladzislau Dzemesh, paired with Aliaksandra Piatrova, won silver in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Teams Finals. Uladzimir Sholakhau won the first bronze for Team Belarus on 4 October.
The 3rd CIS Games are underway in Azerbaijan spanning seven cities: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Shaki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The international event has brought together over 1,600 athletes under the age of 23 from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Cuba, Kuwait, Pakistan, and Oman. The Belarusian delegation includes 241 athletes competing in 21 sport disciplines. The closing ceremony is scheduled for 8 October.
