MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) - Belarus won six gold, 10 silver and four bronze medals on the fourth competition day at BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, Russia on 16 June, BelTA has learned.
The BRICS Games 2024 champion titles were secured by Dzmitry Savin (800m), Elvira Hrabarenka (100m Hurdles), Alena Dubitskaya (shotput), Anastasiya Maslova (hammer throw), Mikalai Sharlap, Pavel Sinenka, Mikhail Ivanchykau and Dzianis Kucharau (rowing), Aliaksei Bandziuk, Siarhei Valadzko, Dzmitry Vyberanets, Dzianis Klimyato, Anton Kupalau, Artsiom Laputsin, Uladzislau Lokan, Dzmitry Furman, and Palina Katsevich (rowing).
Silver medals went Yana Tratseuskaya (48kg wushu), Dzmitry Ivanenka (3,000m Hurdles), Maksim Andraloits (decathlon), Lizaveta Valuyeva (high jump), Aleksei Katkavets (javelin throw), Alena Sobaleva (hammer throw), the men’s and women’s 4x400m teams, the women’s and men’s rowing teams.
Bronze medals were collected by Matvei Volkau (pole vault), Uladzislau Puchko (discus throw), Svetlana Parakhonka (100m Hurdles), Yauhen Kandratovich and Aryna Papova (synchronized diving).
Belarus goes over 90 (19-36-39) medals after four competition days. Day five will feature competitions in diving, tennis, phygital basketball and freestyle wrestling.
