MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko has held a working meeting with Russia’s Primorye Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako in Vladivostok, BelTA learned from the Belarus’ NOC press service.

Belarus has been a reliable friend and long-term partner in various projects, the Russian region's governor said. “Today our cooperation shows strong results in trade, economic, humanitarian, cultural,  scientific and technical areas. We have much to learn from each other in different fields, so we will continue this productive work with our kin nation,” Oleg Kozhemyako said.

The NOC head emphasized close sports collaboration. “Through participation in the Children of Primorye and the Children of Asia games, we have raised our young athletes' overall level. After preparing at joint tournaments, Belarus' team demonstrated a strong performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje. Our athletes won 13 medals to place in Top 15 among 49 participating nations. This is just the beginning for us. We are happy to share this experience and ready to adopt yours.”
