MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) – Belarusian handball players have secured a second victory over the Qatar team in friendly matches in Doha, BelTA has learned.
Following a confident win in the first friendly match in the Qatari capital, the Belarusian side overcame the hosts with a minimal advantage 18-17 on 29 December. The top scorer for the visitors was Ihar Bialiauski, who secured five goals. Yulian Hiryk and Mikalai Aliokhin scored three times each.
On 27 December, Yuri Shevtsov’s team defeated Qatar 26-21. The standout player for the winners was Mikita Vailupau, scoring seven goals against the home side.
The Belarusian handball players will now return home and prepare for an international tournament in Moscow. On 5-7 January 2026, they will face the teams of Russia and China.
