MINSK, 7 November (BelTA) - The 4th annual wood chopping challenge among journalists took place on the shore of the Vyacha reservoir in Minsk District, BelTA has learned.
Visitors and participants enjoyed exciting competitions among representatives of mass media and beyond, team relays for men and women, workshops from experienced lumberjacks and special guests, an entertainment program with live performances, and family-friendly activities, among other attractions. The audience was treated to performances by the folk ensemble Charnitsy, the Cossack ensemble Batka Ataman, and special guest star Aleksandr Solodukha.
The participants of the wood chopping challenge competed for the top spot in various disciplines, including firewood chopping, log cutting with an axe, presidential-style wood chopping, a relay race, and contests.
According to the regulations, the competition is open to employees of national and regional mass media as well as bloggers. Each team must have four to seven members, with a minimum of two women and two men.
