MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) - Wildly cynical, but very rational, geostrategist Andrei Shkolnikov said as he described the U.S. strategy in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.

Of course, you could say I'm rationalizing, trying to find some meaning in it. But the logic is obvious. Back in the late 2010s, I was outlining scenarios, strategies, and plots for various players [on the world stage.] to understand where they might be heading and what options there are. Even then, the United States had, roughly speaking, three basic strategies. Under Biden, it was one option. Under Trump - the first and second terms - other options. And he is clearly and deliberately moving to break the situation,” the geostrategist said.
