Why Belovezhskaya Pushcha worth visiting

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) - The flow of tourists to Belovezhskaya Pushcha is steadily increasing, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economy and Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations and Investment Activities of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Ivan Krasovsky told BelTA.

Brest Oblast is one of the leaders in providing tourism services. The most visited sites include the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex and the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park. "The tourist flow to Belovezhskaya Pushcha grows every year. I am sure many have already been there, but I encourage you to visit it again. Recently, the entrance area to Belovezhskaya Pushcha has been significantly renewed. We are modernizing infrastructure, introducing new services and new attractions," Ivan Krasovsky said.

Every representative of the diplomatic corps of a foreign state visit  the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex. "They pay tribute, lay wreaths and honor memory," he stressed.

Brest Oblast has established close cooperation in tourism with Russia’s regions. "In many of them, streets are named after heroes who perished in the Brest Fortress. On 5-7 April Brest will host a large delegation from Penza Oblast [Russia]. The delegation is expected to include over 200 people. They will introduce a significant program to celebrate the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia. The delegation will work in Minsk, Mogilev and Brest. The Brest Fortress will play host to very important patriotic events aimed at fostering patriotism among our young people," Ivan Krasovsky emphasized.
