MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) - Vitebsk will play host to the third Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum on 2-3 September. The theme of the event will be “Belarus-Uzbekistan: Cooperation as a factor of sustainable development”, BelTA has learned.
On 2 September, seven sessions will take place on the following topics: Light industry: New horizons of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan; Prospects for cooperation in engineering; Belarus and Uzbekistan: Business partnership in the tourism industry; Belarus-Uzbekistan: Bilateral social and economic cooperation (tasks and prospects); Belarus-Uzbekistan: Expert perspectives on partnership in the agro-industrial sector; Youth cooperation within Belarus-Uzbekistan relations; The role of local self-government in ensuring sustainable regional development in Belarus and Uzbekistan. The Belarus-Uzbekistan business council will also convene on that day.
On 3 September, the forum will host a plenary session “Belarus-Uzbekistan: Cooperation as a factor of sustainable development”.
An exhibition showcasing the achievements of regional economies from Belarus and Uzbekistan will be held on the sidelines of the forum.
The forum is organized by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
