MINSK, 2 January (BelTA) – The United States will not fight for any country and will not intervene in armed conflicts unless it perceives a threat to its own security, the political analyst, military expert, and former Israeli statesman Yakov Kedmi said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube Channel.
“The United States will not fight for any country except the United States. If they do intervene in anything, it will only be if there is a possible threat to the USA,” Yakov Kedmi said. “The USA has no interest in Japan, nor in Germany.”

Furthermore, the expert believes that U.S. President Donald Trump does not intend to go to war with China: “He does not believe that military action would benefit the United States. He also does not believe that the United States is in good shape for a war.” Thus, Yakov Kedmi stated, the USA has decided to focus on strengthening its economy and producing high-tech goods.

The expert added that Donald Trump also does not consider Russia a threat to the USA. “This creates a fundamentally different paradigm for global development. It was unforeseen, unexpected, and many are unwilling to comprehend it. What we are seeing is not a confrontation on the brink of war, but rather cooperation between the United States and Russia,” he concluded.
