MOLODECHNO, 29 November (BelTA) – Molodechno is playing host to the fifth meeting of twin towns of Belarus and Poland. It has brought together around 100 representatives of 20 Belarusian and 19 Polish cities and regions, BelTA has learned.
The forum focuses on possible ways to solve key problems of the regions, with an emphasis on economic and investment projects.
The meeting is chaired by Boris Batura, chairman of the Belarusian public association Twinned Towns. Taking part in the event are also Belarusian Ambassador to Poland Vladimir Chushev, Polish Ambassador to Belarus Artur Michalski, and senior officials of the administrations of Minsk Oblast and Molodechno District.
The program of the event includes plenary sessions and visits to enterprises, cultural and public facilities.
The meeting of twin towns of Belarus and Poland is a biennial event. Gdansk (Poland) and Baranovichi hosted the previous events.
