MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced today that Warsaw is preparing to open two border crossings with Belarus –Bobrowniki and Kuźnica – in November, as reported by the Onet news platform.
Speaking at the European Union’s Border Cohesion and Development Forum in Białystok, Donald Tusk said: “We all understand that opening these two crossings will largely resolve the problem caused by the closed border.”
“I have instructed the relevant ministries to prepare this decision for adoption this week. Yet, we have a problem at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border. The Lithuanians closed their only crossing with Belarus just days ago. I therefore expect intensive negotiations with the Lithuanians to ensure we do not catch them off guard,” he said.
