BEIJING, 3 September (BelTA) – Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico may visit Belarus. The possibility of the visit was discussed with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko during an informal meeting in Beijing, BelTA has learned.

During the talks, both sides agreed on the need to schedule a visit to Belarus to discuss potential areas of cooperation.

There are many projects that could help expand relations between Slovakia and Belarus, the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo wrote.

In a related diplomatic move, Slovakia appointed a new ambassador to Minsk, Jozef Migaš, who began his tenure in June. Ambassador Migaš previously led the Slovak diplomatic mission in Belarus and was awarded the Order of Francysk Skaryna in 2020 for his significant role in strengthening bilateral ties.
