MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko told the STV TV channel whether the central budget will retain its focus on social programs in 2025. The budget bill will be considered at the second session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation, BelTA has learned.
“Members of the House of Representatives teamed up with government officials to start drafting the bill as part of working groups. The year 2025 is special in some way, because it is the watershed between two five-year plans. It is clear that the approaches to drafting the budget bill will remain the same and the social focus of the bill will be preserved. This concerns healthcare, social security issues, education. I am sure that in October - November the work on this bill will gain momentum,” Igor Sergeyenko noted.
