MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – The second stage of the Belarusian-Russian army exercise Slavyanskoye Bratstvo 2020 [Slavonic Brotherhood] has begun, the Defense Ministry told BelTA.

During this stage the sides will practice the control of troops to repulse an armed aggression in a rapidly changing situation. Organization of interaction and comprehensive support for the sake of accomplishing the given missions will be practiced.
Today a Belarusian-Russian tactical team will have to liberate a hydraulic engineering facility captured by the enemy. The team will have to perform a parachute assault and an air landing followed by crossing a water obstacle in combat vehicles.
Over 500 units of combat hardware, including about 90 tanks, 350 combat armored vehicles, over 130 units of artillery, mortars, and multiple-launch rocket systems will be used.
