Resident of Belarus' Hi-Tech Park helps introduce IT solutions in manufacturing

MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – Octonion Technology, a company residing in the Hi-Tech Park in Belarus, has developed a website, which allows engineers of any level to work out their own IT solutions for the sake of making them part of manufacturing processes. The company presented the new product together with the world's largest electronic equipment supplier Avnet and the cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure, the press service of the Hi-Tech Park told BelTA.

The Brainium system allows anyone to create a pilot version for working with a smart manufacturing process. The software and special sensors can be used to collect data about the state of equipment, for instance, from construction sites or farms. All the data is stored in the cloud. The approach allows creating an innovative enterprise 3-4 times faster than the market's current products.

“Thanks to these instruments users can explore the horizons of artificial intelligence. Everything is done via the Brainium website, which will inspire process engineers from various spheres,” noted Ongan Mordeniz, Octonion Technology co-founder and chief operating officer.

The Brainium system was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 in Las Vegas.

Octonion Technology is a Belarusian R&D center of the Swiss company Octonion. The company focuses on developing embedded software, mobile apps, and server software. In the past the company received investments from the largest Taiwanese company Foxconn, the telecommunications services provider Swisscom, and the international venture fund based in the Silicon Valley Almaz Capital.

Avnet Company is one of the world's largest distributors of electronic components and embedded solutions. It is headquartered in Phoenix, State of Arizona, USA.

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform from Microsoft. It allows developing and executing applications and storing data on servers located in distributed data centers.
