MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) - We are not losing hope that Poland will open the border for us, a refugee currently living in the transport and logistics center on the Belarus-EU border told BelTA.
"We have been in Belarus for exactly a month and are not losing hope that the European Union will accept our families. We are all tired, women and children are exhausted. We are not certain about our future but are still hoping for a better outcome. We simply cannot go back as it is mortally dangerous," he said. “As soon as we recharge our phones, we rush to read the news and do not understand why the European Union is so indifferent. We just want a better life for ourselves and our families. At home, unfortunately, we do not have it and will not have it."
According to the refugee, his family lives in Germany. "They have promised to help us with work. We are not freeloaders as foreign media write. We want to work," the man added.
