GOMEL, 28 April (BelTA) – A festive program to mark Labor Day has been approved in Gomel, BelTA learned from the Gomel Oblast Association of Trade Unions.
The program will also include sports activities. At 11:00, a running competition will kick off on the Sozh River embankment. Representatives of trade union sports schools will compete for prizes from the regional association. The highlight of the day, as is tradition, will be the We Are Together water regatta on the Sozh River, which will begin at 13:30.
The Labor Day program in Gomel is expected to be as eventful as always. At noon, Lenin Square will host a ceremonial meeting, a festive concert and a ceremony to inscribe Gomel Oblast on the Board of Honor based on its performance in 2024.
The park’s summer stage will play host to the entertainment program In Honor of Peaceful Labor, which will celebrate labor dynasties. Young people will host a flashmob called “Youth for Peace!”
The trade union leaders will pay special attention to the Ulukovie special needs residential school. Thanks to a traditional charity initiative, the children will get to enjoy the amusement rides to their heart's content.
