MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – The adverse weather situation has resulted in power disruptions for consumers in Minsk Oblast, BelTA learned from the website of the Minsk Oblast power company Minskenergo.
Pukhovichi District and Slutsk District have been affected the worst. Snow accretion and squall wind have damaged power lines in these territories.
In the morning on 6 April Minskenergo personnel were busy restoring power supply to more than 130 populated localities. As many as 39 specialized crews and 56 special vehicles have been deployed in addition to six diesel power generations that can provide power to the areas that have been affected the most. “We are pouring every effort into promptly dealing with consequences of the bad weather and restoring reliable supply of electricity to consumers. Our specialists work round the clock in order to minimize inconveniences for the population,” representatives of the power company explained.
The company offered apologies for the possible inconveniences the general public may experience and asked people to be understanding about the situation.
