Over 920,000 people take part in Industrial Tourism Month in Belarus in March

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Over 920,000 people took part in the events of the Industrial Tourism Month in Belarus in March, BelTA learned from the National Tourism Agency.

Open days and industrial tours were held in March to introduce visitors to the history, achievements, modern technologies and development plans of enterprises.

“About 2,850 such events were held throughout the country, in which over 920,000 people took part. During the Industrial Tourism Month in 2024, about 440 events were held, the number of participants was about 54,000 people,” the National Tourism Agency reported.

A visiting seminar was organized in Soligorsk District for representatives of the tourism business. Tourist information centers across various regions prepared a variety of activities to suit every taste, including the photo contest “I was there!”, online quizzes and thematic excursions for schoolchildren.

The National Tourism Agency named the enterprise Domochai a success story of the Industrial Tourism Month, as the company was visited by about 1,000 people. Food producers and mechanical engineering companies showcased their offers at the Leisure 2025 expo.

A thematic brochure and a video, guidelines for conducting excursions at production facilities were published in Belarus. Visits to industrial facilities for foreign media and tour operators were organized. A marketing study “Industrial tourism in the Republic of Belarus: Analysis of the state and prospects” was conducted.

“The year 2024 saw a significant increase in industrial tourism. The total number of visitors to industrial enterprises amounted to 266,935. This includes enterprises of the Industry Ministry, the Bellegprom Concern and Belgospishcheprom Concern, as well as the Architecture and Construction Ministry. The largest increase in visitors was recorded at enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry,” the National Tourism Agency remarked.
