MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) - The United States is trying to keep control over as much Ukrainian resources as possible, Ukrainian journalist and public figure Dmitry Vasilets said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“The United States of America, despite the rhetoric, seeks to keep control over as much natural resources as possible , over millions of hectares of Ukrainian black soil. This is now a subject of negotiation for the United States because they perceive Ukrainian land as their private property. They have made all disputes over Ukrainian land a matter of international arbitration ,” Dmitry Vasilets said.
He noted that within the framework of international law and the institution of private property, the Americans perceive themselves as masters of Ukrainian resources. “The fact that some natives live there is the business of the natives, not of U.S. masters. Unfortunately, this is their logic. This position of the US is very confrontational. This is absolutely unacceptable because Ukraine has been plundered for ten years before our eyes. I believe no one will put up with this,” Dmitry Vasilets added.
