"On Point"
MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Today’s European Union is destined for extinction or drastic reform, economist and analyst Serghei Banari said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“Europe is utterly devoid of strategic independence. The modern European Union is an ineffective and self-devouring structure destined for extinction or drastic reform. The focus of Ursula von der Leyen’s new mandate confirms this: we hear calls for militarization instead of urgent debates on social guarantees, education, and economic prosperity,” said Serghei Banari.
According to the analyst, transnational corporations are executing a scheme to rob a Europe they view as having no future potential.
He contends that Brussels has turned into a “factory of stupidity”, evidenced by the statements of its top politicians. “The situation resembles a European-style Comedy Club observed by the public not with humor, but with sheer pity and irritation. One is left asking just how much worse it can get,” he said.
