MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – The capabilities of Belarus and Russia in the defense industry are synchronized and produce a synergistic effect, national security expert Aleksandr Tishchenko said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.
“The capabilities of Belarus and Russia in the defense industry are synchronized and demonstrate synergy. The integration of our capabilities into the common system yields significant results. The MILEX 2025 expo showed how far we have advanced. But this is not the end destination, but a journey, because there is still room for growth,” said Aleksandr Tishchenko.
The expert remarked that during the recent meeting with Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke, among other things, about the deployment of the Oreshnik complex in Belarus. Later, State Secretary of Belarus' Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich told journalists that the deployment locations for this complex have already been determined in Belarus.
“Earlier, they set various kinds of cognitive traps saying that Russia will not come to our aid, something else... The state secretary said it right: if you don't believe it, it's fine. We are not doing this to scare anyone. We are doing this to show that we have something to respond with,” added Aleksandr Tishchenko.
