MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) - The preparation process for the second session of the 7th Belarusian People's Congress is underway.
“Within the framework of legislative procedures and the powers granted to the Belarusian People's Congress and, accordingly, to the Secretariat, we are engaged in preparing the documents for consideration at the Belarusian People's Congress, Valery Mitskevich, Chairman of the Belarusian National Union of Lawyers, and Head of the Secretariat of the Belarusian People's Congress told BelTA. “These are drafts of relevant decisions that will be adopted by the congress," Valery Mitskevich said.
He noted that the delegates will receive a package of documents (the drafts of possible decisions with justifications and arguments) which will enable them to be fully equipped and fully aware of the matters on the agenda of the congress.
Furthermore, preparations are underway for other organizational aspects.
The second session of the 7th Belarusian People's Congress will take place in Minsk on 18-19 December. The agenda is expected to include an address by the head of state, approval of the social and economic development program for the upcoming five-year period and a number of other matters.
