MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Minsk Metro carries more than 750,000 passengers a day, Director of the Minsk Transport and Communications state enterprise Yuri Supranovich said following a meeting at the Minsk City Executive Committee, BelTA has learned.
According to him, the development of urban transport can be measured by numbers. “Currently, the metro carries more than 750,000 passengers a day. This has been made possible in part by the commissioning of the third line. It still needs additional loading, so the numbers will continue to grow,” Yuri Supranovich pointed out.
He stressed that the metro remains one of the most popular modes of transport for Minsk residents.
