MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – A military contingent from Kazakhstan has arrived in Belarus to participate in the CSTO joint exercises, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
“Today we welcome the military contingent from a CSTO member state. Previously, contingents from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan also arrived. Traditionally, we greet our friends with bread and salt, with open hearts and sincere hospitality. Comfortable living and training conditions have been arranged for all participants. Soon, they will settle into the field camp and begin preparations for the exercise tasks. The servicemen will familiarize themselves with the training facilities and the sites involved in the exercises. We’ve also prepared a rich cultural program to help our guests learn more about the history and culture of the Republic of Belarus. National Culture Days are planned, where participants will be able to explore the heritage and traditions of their fellow countries,” said Vadim Bobilevich, Deputy Commander for Ideological Work - Head of the Ideological Department of the Special Operations Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
