Lithuanian border guard accused of leaving unconscious pregnant woman at Belarusian border line

MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – Another group of ten people, who had been forcefully expelled from Lithuania to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border line, was found in the area controlled by the Polesie border post of the Smorgon branch of the Belarusian border service on 10 August, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

According to the source, the group included three kids. One of the foreigners recorded a video of how representatives of the Lithuanian border service had treated the people. The video clearly demonstrates how Lithuanian border guard personnel left an unconscious pregnant woman at the border line. According to the State Border Committee of Belarus, the Lithuanian border service personnel left the person in danger without the possibility of getting the necessary medical aid.

Belarusian border guard personnel provided first aid on the spot. The foreign woman was delivered to the Postavy District Central Hospital. Her condition is serious and she shows signs of malnutrition.

Three kids were with her and were also delivered to the hospital for examination.
