MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - The Lithuanian authorities have not extended the ban on flights along several sections of the state border with Belarus at altitudes below 3.6 km, TASS reported, citing a source in the country's air traffic control service.
The temporary ban introduced on 25 October was in effect until 1 December inclusive. “Until the end of 1 December, temporary restricted zones were in place for national security operations, which implied limitations on flights below 3,600 meters along certain sections of the Lithuania-Belarus border,” the source noted.
At the same time, similar restrictions were introduced on the border with Latvia.
“So far, there has been no information received regarding an extension of the ban,” the source said.
