Kyrgyzstan invites Belarus to take part in 2026 World Nomad Games

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Kyrgyzstan has invited Belarusian representatives to take part in the World Nomad Games, which will be held in the country next year, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev told journalists after a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA has learned.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that humanitarian cooperation between the two countries has noticeably intensified. “We look forward to the participation of the Belarusian national delegation in the 6th World Nomad Games scheduled for September 2026. This is not only a sporting but also a cultural event of global scale, a unique opportunity to showcase the strength of traditions and the modern dynamics of our countries,” Adylbek Kasymaliev said.

Vivid examples of cultural and humanitarian cooperation include the Days of Kyrgyzstan’s Culture in Belarus and the participation of artists in the international festival of arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. “It genuinely delights us to see the unwavering interest of Belarusians in the legacy of the great humanist, the Kyrgyz and Soviet writer Chinghiz Aitmatov. His ideas about human dignity and the responsibility of the society are particularly relevant today. We also highly value the joint events marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The memory of our peoples’ heroic deed is a solid foundation for mutual respect and trust,” he said.

Cultural ties are reinforced by cooperation in education and science. Kyrgyzstan is interested in increasing the number of its students at Belarusian higher education institutions. Another promising area is tourism. Belarusians are invited to discover the mountains and lakes of Kyrgyzstan, with routes for ecotourism and active recreation. “In turn, we are eager to promote Belarusian tourism opportunities,” Adylbek Kasymaliev noted.

He also sees significant potential in interregional cooperation and the expansion of sister city ties.

Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed gratitude to Belarus for its traditional hospitality and flawless visit organization, stressing that the determination and political will of the leaders of the two countries have given a strong new momentum to bilateral cooperation.

He noted the packed schedule for the talks. “The Kyrgyz side is fully prepared for joint work in all areas, from economy and industrial cooperation to science, culture, and regional ties. I am confident that our countries have all the necessary prerequisites to bring our relations to new heights,” Adylbek Kasymaliev said. “In recent years, we have seen steady growth in mutual trade. We have begun the joint task of increasing trade to $500 million within the next few years. We have agreed to launch new projects. Industrial cooperation is one of the key areas. We see good potential in joint assembly and localization of products, as well as technology exchange.”
