MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) - During an official visit to the State of Qatar, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin invited Qatari military personnel to undergo training in Belarus, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
"Perhaps we rely less on computer technologies, but we can share our experience of training with equipment and ammunition in conditions similar to combat scenarios, including the application of unmanned aerial vehicles. Our teams now complete no tasks without them," Viktor Khrenin stated.
The deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of Qatar expressed an interest in gaining Belarusian experience. "We are very interested in learning from Belarus’ experience in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and would like to receive such training in your country,” he emphasized.
Viktor Khrenin gave instruction to the chief of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus' Armed Forces to organize experience exchange programs with Qatari servicemen this year.
During his visit to Qatar, Viktor Khrenin also toured the 401st training center for Qatari military personnel and examined its infrastructure and training capabilities.
