Khorkina shares her impressions of Time of Our Victories show, amazed by swimming pool idea 

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) - Svetlana Khorkina, two-time Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics (Russia), shared her impressions of the sports and entertainment show Time of Our Victories which took place in Minsk Arena, "First of all, I would like to thank you for inviting us. I was there with a friend. She is the director of my sports and gymnastics shows that I travel with around Russian regions, Svetlana Khorkina said in a conversation with a BelTA correspondent. “It was an honor for us to be there, to watch and learn something. Of course, the main innovation, which you were the first to do, was swimming pools. To combine gymnastics, acrobatics and synchronized swimming is certainly risky. You are daredevils, but everything worked out perfectly well,” Svetlana Khorkina said. 

The athlete noted that this format of the show is not only interesting for young people but also useful for the athletes themselves. “Ivan Litvinovich, so far the only two-time Olympic champion in trampolining in history, delivered a great performance. Rhythmic gymnastics girls were amazing. I was very moved by the performance of guys in wheelchairs. To tears,” she added.

Svetlana Khorkina pointed out that it would be nice to see artistic gymnastics at such shows: “I am an artistic gymnast. So I would very much wish for next shows (I would like to see such formats in Belarus in the future) to incorporate artistic gymnastics.”
