ITU praises Belarusian IT services, products

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) - Belarus' Permanent Representative to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva Larisa Belskaya met with Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Houlin Zhao on 16 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The secretary general praised the level and constructive nature of cooperation between Belarus and the ITU, and noted the success of our country in the development of high-quality IT services and products, the introduction of ICT in various areas of the economy, education and social sector,” the ministry of foreign affairs said. “The Belarusian permanent representative, in turn, emphasized the important contribution of joint projects with the ITU to improving public policy in the field of telecommunications and information technology and the practical implementation of the state program “Digital Development of Belarus” for 2021-2025.
