MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – The international ICT forum TIBO 2022 has kicked off in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The international forum on information and communications technologies TIBO is a unique platform to exchange best practices in information technology and digital transformation and to discuss the use of technological advancements in traditional sectors of the economy. During five days of the forum state-run companies and private businesses will showcase their developments in Minsk Arena.
For example, the Belpochta national postal service will present electronic digital services it has been working on in recent years. “This is a national postal electronic system. We are bringing a new service for legal entities and individuals. It allows sending parcels or correspondence without operators. Belpochta will also present a service for identifying and registering a user using an ID card. One of our new solutions is meant primarily for legal entities. It allows paying for services using an electronic personal account,” Deputy Director General for Technical Issues Sergei Potapenko said.
The education sector is represented by technological parks and an educational alley featuring stands of Belarusian universities. Technological parks are a link between science and education. Each university in Belarus has its own technological park. The stand of the Education Ministry is represented by the Science and Technology Park Polytechnic and other technoparks from the country's universities, such as Belarusian National Technical University, Polotsk State University, Belarusian State University.
The exhibition features other educational enterprises, for example, Belkartography. "We make cartographic products. Here we have presented an e-learning tool - a political map of the world. It has been developed for schools on the other the Education Ministry. This is a fairly new product. It was released last year. We are currently working on three more e-learning tools: a physical map of the world, great geographical discoveries and the population of the world,” said Dmitry Makarevich, a senor editor at Belkartography.
The International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO 2022 will be running until 10 June. The exhibition is showcasing products and services from well-known manufacturers of telecommunications equipment, hardware and software, mobile and fixed-line operators, developers and suppliers of high-tech products, security systems, intelligent solutions and services for the household and corporate segment, scientific and educational institutions. The 4th edition of the Eurasian Digital Forum, the 5th installment of the Belarusian ICT Summit and the II Digital Economy Forum will be held at Minsk Arena. The last day of the forum will mark the ceremonies for the internet award TIBO 2022, Belarus ICT Startup Award and the national competition for youth initiatives Agro 4.0.
