Huawei, Belarusian State Academy of Communications to set up joint training center

MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) - Huawei and the Belarusian State Academy of Communications will set up a joint training center, Director General of OOO Bel Huawei Technologies Pan Yong told BelTA.

It will be based at the Innovation Center which operates at the Huawei Office in Minsk. Belarus attaches great attention to the training of specialists for the IT industry, which is evident in Belarus' significant advances in the international arena in this field, Pan Yong said.

Pan Yong underlined that OOO Bel Huawei Technologies also aims to contribute to Belarus' efforts to build a digital country. For example, Huawei has been implementing the Seeds for the Future international educational program for young Belarusian professionals and students.

Huawei Corporation relies on the principles of corporate social responsibility and has made efforts to strengthen friendship between Belarus and China, including within the framework of the Belt and Road concept, Pan Yong stressed.

For seven years OOO Bel Huawei Technologies has been cooperating closely with the Belarusian State Academy of Communications. On 29 April the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation which provides for setting up the joint training center.

The company plans to open another center in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone in May. It will be dealing with the innovations, for example, related to the Safe City concept.

Pan Yong lauded the international forum of information and communication technology TIBO 2018 which he described as the prestigious one for the industry. The company intends to become its general partner.
