MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – In the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel, philosopher Aleksandr Dugin gave his take on Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s phrase “two countries – one Fatherland”.
According to the philosopher, Aleksandr Lukashenko is a great leader. “I am not flattering. He is a truly outstanding historical figure, an iconic symbol for our Eastern Slavic world. He is a visionary, a remarkable political and public figure. He is essentially the father of modern Belarus; he led it through the most difficult trials. I admire this man, his wisdom, his will, his determination,” the philosopher shared. “Aleksandr Lukashenko is a symbol of success for Belarus. He leads society and the country to victory like a captain. He is a genius.”

The expert interprets the notion of “one Fatherland” broadly. “Aleksandr Lukashenko’s concept of ‘two countries – one Fatherland,’ is a formula for freedom and sovereignty. This is our unified Eurasian civilization, the USSR; we all come from this empire. Our generation is facing the most difficult task of restoring this Fatherland. And Lukashenko shows the path to successful restoration of this unity. He is an absolutely brilliant, consistent, prophetic political figure,” the philosopher concluded.
