Fursov: Ultra-globalists face off with globalists in global game

MINSK, 1 May (BelTA) - Today we can observe a unique event that French historian Fernand Braudel described as “a new shuffling of the geopolitical deck”, Russian historian, director of the Institute for Systemic and Strategic Analysis Andrei Fursov said in a new episode of the project V Teme [On Point] on BelTA’s YouTube channel.

“I love the metaphor by French historian Fernand Braudel about ‘a new shuffling of the geopolitical deck’, ‘a new deal’, and I often use it. The current ‘reshuffling’ is a completely unique event because two projects have faced off in the global game. The matter is about the creation of a new, post-capitalist society, which they call ‘a new normal’,” Andrei Fursov said.

Speaking about the post-capitalist society, the historian noted that one of the projects can be conditionally called ‘bio-techno-fascism’. “By no means do I use the word ‘fascism’ in its strict sense. Fascism was Mussolini's Italy. In the European general discourse there is nothing worse than fascism, that's why I use the word ‘fascism’,” he emphasized.

The second project is ‘techno-fascism’, Andrei Fursov noted. According to him, there are significant differences between these two projects. “The first project is ultra-globalist, and the second is simply globalist,” he added.
