MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) - Igor Golub, Director of the Aviation Department at the Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus, chaired the board meeting of the department to sum up the performance of the aviation industry last year and set the main tasks for 2024, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry.
Among the main tasks for 2024, Igor Golub singled out ensuring flight safety and aviation security, expanding the transportation market and developing the route network, making air transport more attractive for people and increasing the economic efficiency of aviation organizations.
The plans also include improving the quality of passenger and cargo services, developing regular and charter flights to/from regional airports, attracting investments to increase the aircraft fleet, and upgrading airfield and air navigation infrastructure.
