Digital transformation, export in focus of Minsk seminar for Belarusian diplomats

MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – The annual seminar for heads of Belarusian diplomatic missions and consular offices, currently underway in Minsk, is centered on priority areas for Belarus’ overseas institutions in today’s environment, BelTA reports.

The training and practical week opened on 28 July with addresses by Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov and Rector of the Academy of Public Administration Igor Buzovsky. The seminar’s agenda includes a wide range of events aimed at strengthening coordination in foreign policy and economic activities abroad, as well as discussions on current challenges and tasks facing Belarus’ diplomatic service under modern conditions.
Special attention is being given to the digital transformation of foreign policy work, including the application of artificial intelligence technologies in international relations and communications. Workshops with sector experts are planned. A key part of the seminar will be a visit to BelAZ, one of the country’s leading industrial enterprises, where participants will explore the potential of Belarusian engineering sector, export opportunities, and prospects for technological cooperation.
The seminar also incorporates socially significant events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, such as diplomats’ participation in a flower-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument.

The week-long program also includes lectures, meetings with representatives of ministries, government agencies, and business circles, as well as a roundtable on coordinating export activities and attracting investments. The foreign minister noted that the seminar provides a unique platform for direct dialogue with leaders of key national economic sectors, significantly expanding opportunities for knowledge-sharing and new initiatives. He stressed the importance of further strengthening personnel capabilities through cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration.
A crucial aspect is the open exchange of ideas, where new initiatives, approaches, and proposals are discussed to further enhance the effectiveness of Belarus’ overseas institutions.
