MOSCOW, 29 November (BelTA) - The working group at the CSTO Defense Ministers Council on the acquisition, technology, and logistics of the CSTO troops (collective forces) held a web-based meeting on 29 November, BelTA learned from press secretary of the CSTO Joint Staff Vladislav Shchegrikovich.
"Members of the working group considered the military-political situation in the regions of collective security, mechanisms of interaction to acquire modern weapons, military and special-purpose equipment for the CSTO groups of troops (collective forces), logistics and technical support while providing assistance to a CSTO member state in response to a crisis situation," the press secretary said.
According to him, in 2025 the working group will focus on improving the system of logistics and technical support for the CSTO groups of troops (collective forces), including in terms of increasing the technical compatibility of weapons, military and special-purpose equipment.
On behalf of Belarus, the event was attended by Andrei Burdyko, Deputy Defense Minister for Logistics - Chief of Logistics of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, and Andrei Fedin, Deputy Defense Minister for Armament - Chief of Armament of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
"The working group will convene for the next meeting in the Republic of Belarus during the Echelon 2025 special training," the press secretary added.
