MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Internal Affairs Minister Ivan Kubrakov took part in a session of the CIS Internal Affairs and Police Ministers Council, the Internal Affairs Ministry told BelTA.
The session focused on cooperation in counteracting drug crimes and information technology crimes, including Internet scams. The use of video analysis systems for finding suspects was also discussed in addition to the organization of electronic document exchange.
In his speech Ivan Kubrakov drew attention to individual aspects of interaction within the framework of realization of interstate crime control programs. He also shared experience and the results Belarusian police had achieved in specific areas.
Ivan Kubrakov mentioned it is important to improve interstate information interaction. He also mentioned the need to work out productive strategies and measures to counteract the growing number of drug crimes and vice crimes.
Interaction between police agencies of the CIS states for the sake of counteracting cybercrimes, for finding dangerous criminals, for counteracting psychoactive, psychotropic, and narcotic substances was also discussed during the meeting.
