
MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – A bill on ratifying the treaty between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on forming a joint market of electric energy of the Union State has been brought into the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
The bill expresses Belarus’ consent to the binding nature of the treaty, which is necessary for the treaty to come into force. It also specifies the government agencies, which are authorized to manage the joint electricity market from the Belarusian side.
The document will enable the creation of common energy space, which will allow improving coordination and interaction in the sphere of power engineering between Belarus and Russia.
