MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) - Belavia is organizing evacuation flights from Albania, Tunisia and Montenegro, BelTA learned from the airline's website.
“Due to the closure of airspace by a number of countries, travel agencies and Belavia are organizing evacuation flights from Albania, Tunisia and Montenegro along the routes bypassing the closed airspaces,” the company said in a statement.
For example, on 1 June Belavia performed two flights to from Enfidha,Tunisia to bring home 1,346 passengers home. The airline will operate two more flights to Tunisia in the coming days to transport more than 300 people.
On 2 June the company performed an evacuation flight from Tivat, Montenegro for 189 passengers and a flight to Tirana, Albania for 168 passengers.
“We are also working out all possible options to fly to Cyprus to bring home Belarusian citizens. Belavia is doing its utmost to help its passengers and clients of travel agencies to return home. We apologize for the situation which we are unable to influence for the time being,” the company said.
