MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) - Citizens of Belarus and Russia evacuated from Iran arrived in Minsk this morning on a Belavia flight, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Azerbaijan.
"The Belarusian Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Belarusian Embassy in Iran organized the evacuation of 20 Belarusian citizens and three Russian citizens," the diplomatic mission stated.

"Belarusian citizens departed from Baku on a Belavia flight this morning and have already arrived in the Belarusian capital," the Belarusian embassy noted.
The embassy thanked Azerbaijani authorities, Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Belarus friendship society Vasif Ismailov, and Belavia’s representative office in Azerbaijan for their assistance.

On 16 June, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that two groups of Belarusian citizens successfully left Iran. The Belarusian Embassy in Tehran continues to establish contact with Belarusian citizens remaining in the country, compiling lists of those seeking assistance and exploring possible evacuation options.
