MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – A command post exercise of the joint command of the Regional Group of Forces is taking place in Minsk. Its theme is “Taking a decision on the use of Regional Group of Forces to maintain military security of the Union State”, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.
“On 8-12 February, representatives of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia deployed at stationary command posts will work out one of the options of using groups of forces in the operation of the Regional Group of Forces as part of the joint command,” the ministry said.
This exercise is part of a set of joint events to prepare for the Zapad 2021 military drill scheduled for September.
