MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Belarusian military personnel will be deployed to Lebanon in September in order to routinely replace medics in a military hospital. The personnel sat through an orientation session under the supervision of Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Belarusian Defense Ministry, Major-General Oleg Voinov, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
Belarusian military personnel have helped maintain international peace and security as part of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon since 2010.
Over 50 Belarusian military specialists have acquired practical experience of carrying out peacekeeping missions so far, thus bolstering the country's international prestige.
