MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) - The Belarusian long-haul Airbus A330-200 successfully completed its first regular flight on 14 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian airline Belavia.

The aircraft flew from Minsk to Istanbul, carrying 177 passengers. This new aircraft type in Belarus offers several distinct features, including expanded space between rows in economy class and reclining seats with additional comfort options in business class. The maximum passenger capacity is 281, making it the largest aircraft in Belarus compared to Boeing and Embraer models.

Its key advantage is its long-range capability, reaching 12,000 km. Currently, it is the only aircraft in Belavia’s fleet capable of flying such long distances.

The next scheduled flight from Minsk to Istanbul was set for 15 June. Flights to Moscow and Dubai are also included in the upcoming flight program.
