
MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) — The State Control Committee of Belarus and the General Court of Audit of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding, BelTA has learned.
The signing ceremony took place during the visit of President of the General Court of Audit of Saudi Arabia Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Angari to Belarus. The purpose of the memorandum is to strengthen and encourage the development of cooperation and effective interaction between the two departments in financial audit, performance audit and compliance audit.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of experience and joint participation in research projects and events (consultation, seminars, organization of meetings on financial audit issues). Plans are in place to conduct joint training programs on topics related to financial audit, as well as the exchange of audit methodologies. The memorandum will lay foundation for an action plan for 2026 between the two watchdog agencies. The document is planned to be signed this year.

The supreme control bodies of Belarus and Saudi Arabia is actively developing cooperation. Over the past year, this is the third meeting of the heads of departments, Vasily Gerasimov and Hussam Ben Abdulmohsen Al-Angari. Initially, agreements on enhancing professional cooperation were reached in June 2024 on the sidelines of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
