MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Sergei Maslyak discussed cooperation prospects with Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States of the United Nations Development Program Ivana Živković as the two met on the sidelines of the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.
According to Sergei Maslyak, UNDP is a long-standing and reliable partner of the Belarusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in the implementation of international technical assistance projects in environmental protection. The parties outlined the areas of interest for Belarus. Among them is the solution of the persistent organic pollutants issue in Belarus.
The parties confirmed their intention to continue working together, and to search for and use new forms and mechanisms of interaction. Sergei Maslyak and Ivana Živković expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation.
