MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Saudi Arabia have agreed on cooperation in civil aviation, the Minsk city public transport company Minsktrans told BelTA.
Consultations between the aviation authorities of both countries were held as part of the 42nd session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on 30 September. Following the talks, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the aviation authorities of Belarus and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The document was inked by Belarusian Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Sergei Dubina and President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej.
The memorandum builds on previous agreements in civil aviation following the entry into force of the air services agreement between the governments of Belarus and Saudi Arabia. It will serve as a basis for the development of air transport between the two countries.
